๐ŸŽฏ Role Overview: Lead, Monitoring Oversight

As a Lead, Monitoring Oversight, you will ensure that Lilly maintains strong oversight of clinical trial site monitoring activities conducted by Third Party Organizations (TPOs). This role is a perfect blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and leadership — with the ultimate goal of ensuring quality and compliance across clinical trials.


๐Ÿ”‘ Key Responsibilities

1. Monitoring Visit Report Reviews (MVRRs)

  • Conduct risk-based selection of sites for review
  • Review Monitoring Visit Reports from TPO Clinical Research Associates (CRAs)
  • Identify issues, document gaps, and ensure follow-ups
  • Record issues in the Clinical Trial Management System

2. Oversight & Issue Escalation

  • Escalate significant monitoring oversight issues to study leadership
  • Collaborate with CRAs, TPO Management, and Lilly Study Teams to resolve issues
  • Support inspection readiness activities

3. Trend Identification & Risk Assessment

  • Track and analyze monitoring oversight trends across sites and CRAs
  • Partner with Medical Quality and Monitoring Oversight Business Leads to address recurring issues

4. Performance Metrics

  • Identify and track monitoring data to assess oversight effectiveness
  • Work with TPOs and internal teams to resolve metric-related issues

๐Ÿ“Œ Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, or a medically related field
  • 4+ years of core clinical research/monitoring experience
  • Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP)
  • Excellent English communication (written & verbal)

๐ŸŒŸ Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience as a CRA or in monitoring report review
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
